Graham Greene died peacefully at the age of 73, on September 1, of natural causes, according to his manager. He had been battling with illness for a long time. For this film, he got an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor. During the last few years of his life, he had been living outside of Toronto, with his wife and ‘an army of cats’. Until his death, he was living with his wife, Hilary Blackmore, whom he married in 1990, and they had two children. He is survived by his wife, daughter, and a grandchild. He chose not to move to California, which would have been a natural choice for an actor. He preferred the comforts of his home in his home state, Ontario.
